Coccodrillo Bench

The name coccodrillo (crocodile) draws a metaphor between the behaviour of the reptile and that of the bricole, which, broken by the work of the teredines and tides, drift over the lagoon, barely showing their silhouette on the water’s surface. 

Coccodrillo is a bench, a single wooden piece on burnished iron supports. Given the considerable degree of modification carried out by the lagoon, the plank presents singular shapes and marks highlighted during the workmanship phase. The supports also make each piece extraordinary, as they are designed and modified according to the peculiarities of each bricola.
